There is a climate change problem in the Mekong Delta in Vietnam, but it affects several countries. A Mekong River Commission was set up for this, to which Flanders also provides support. Mother tongue in Dutch and fluent in English, spoken and written is a must – knowledge of French is an asset Work location: to be determined What BVA offers: a fair salary – international context – a start-up and hands-on mentality – a personal and professional development Who are we : The Belgian Vietnamese Alliance (BVA), founded in 2011, is an officially accredited chamber of commerce, aiming to promote, in addition to a number of cultural and social activities, trade relations between Belgian and Vietnamese companies. About 2 years ago, a free trade agreement was signed between Viet Nam and the EU (EFVTA), a unique trade agreement that offers a lot of potential for companies in both the EU and Viet Nam, and certainly also with us in Belgium and its Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels Regions. To date, many activities have been organized, often in collaboration with the Vietnamese embassy or other partners and stakeholders. Until now, all the work has been done by our many volunteers. But the EFVTA gives our organization a boost and in the meantime, we are also selected as a structural partner of Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT). The combination of both circumstances will ensure that our (already extensive) network will grow even bigger. But the partnership also means a lot of activities that need to be developed. The activities are mainly network events, further expanding on bilateral contacts with businesses and diplomatic contacts, matching Vietnamese and Belgian companies with each other, ensuring that all structural partners of the FIT and Belgian economic operators consider BVA as a SPOC when it comes to “business in Vietnam”. In addition, we also pay attention to social and cultural activities building bridges between both countries. Send your application with a motivation letter and CV to contact@bva-cci.com
