On the 25th September 2025, BVA has successfully organized the seminar “Soil remediation technologies in Vietnam”, featuring Mrs. Chris Geyskens, President of the Belgian branch of International Association of Victims Agent Orange, Mr. Jan Haemers, Founder & Managing Director at Haemers Technologies and Mr. Franc Bogovic, Co-founder & Partner of Aquitara Impact Fund I. The event gathered BVA friends and members who are eager to learn how Belgian entrepreneurs are contributing to efforts addressing the consequences of Agent Orange in Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In her speech, Mrs. Chris Geyskens shared her 12 years of advocacy in Belgium: raising awareness, fundraising for victims\u2019 families, engaging institutions and building bridges between Belgium and Vietnam. Mr. Jan Haemers presented Haemers Technologies\u2019 soil remediation work in Vietnam, highlighting how their success in the 2022 pilot project allowed them to apply advanced Belgian technologies to clean contaminated soil in Vietnam. He also noted that new funding from the Aquitara Impact Fund will support the ongoing remediation of Agent Orange\u2013affected land. Mr. Franc Bogovic highlighted the Aquitara Impact Fund\u2019s initiatives: the An Vui Mart pilot project improving the life of Agent Orange victims, plans for Eco-Industrial Parks in \u0110\u1ed3ng Nai and the upcoming Aquitara Foundation to expand these efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his conclusion speech, Mr. Andries Gryffroy highlighted the importance of confronting the issue directly and working together to deliver solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As the effects of Agent Orange continue to affect both communities and ecosystems in Vietnam, Belgium and its entrepreneurs reaffirm their commitment to supporting efforts that improve the lives of those still suffering from its aftermath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
